What we’re looking for:
We are seeking a Lead Concierge team member who is highly customer centric, empathetic, creative, and organized. This individual will serve as the primary point for residents and should be passionate about enhancing the resident experience and local community. This position is highly visible and requires warm demeanor, collaborative spirit and impeccable follow-through.

What you’ll be doing:
- Establish and grow relationships with team members, residents, vendors, Tulane University facilities and faculty, and other business partners in collaboration with leader.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and all activity in front lobby; maintain visitor and vendor logs.
- Monitor shift notes from each shift to ensure follow up items are addressed in timely manner. Collaborate with team members and leader to resolve outstanding issues.
- Maintain a clean and inviting lobby space to foster an environment that promotes an exceptional hospitality experience for residents and guests.
- Oversee and manage coffee bar inventory ensuring ample coffee and teas to enhance resident satisfaction.
- Manage package room and package lockers – Log, audit, organize and distribute packages.
- Document and communicate incidents/accidents at property to leadership team.
- Be readily available to resolve any problems or dissatisfaction of the residents, within company policy.
- Take maintenance requests, as needed and assist in following up on requests to meet resident satisfaction.
- Hand out team member business cards and gather information for follow up (after office hours only).
- Provide access to the community for resident’s guests, deliveries, and other special requests from management and/or residents with prior written approval.
- Provide firsthand knowledge of the local area, our community, and Tulane University. Make recommendations about activities, local businesses, and services to ensure residents and guests have positive experience that meets their needs.
- Accommodate residents with lifestyle services that tailor to their needs like grocery, flower and furniture deliveries, utility assistance, transportation services, dinner reservations, dry cleaning, house cleaning, car washing, etc.
- Assist in planning, coordinating and promoting resident social events.
- Be proactive about solving problems, even if it’s outside of your area and be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge.
- Identify and seek out opportunities to add value to the property, the resident, and team member experience.
- Lead and develop direct reports (part-time team concierge team) in collaboration with leaders. Ensure that they feel supported, aligned, and engaged in their role and connected to the greater team and Company.
- Create and manage scheduling of the concierge team.
- Seek out opportunities to be a leader and do everything you can to help the property and company achieve its larger objectives.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required:
- 1-2 years of customer service experience required.
- Experience leading and developing a team is required.
- High school or GED required.
- Customer centric with a warm demeaner, positive attitude and impeccable follow through.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Ability to plan and prioritize efficiently and motivate/lead team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks with simultaneous deadlines/interruptions.
- Strong written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of the city; knowledge of the local transportation options to include public and private transportation options.
- Must be organized and maintain a clean perception in appearance and workstation.
- Technically savvy with technology, i.e. smart phones and computers.
- Computer proficiency included but not limited to Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands:
- This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
- May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
- Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
- May involve moving or lifting items at or about 40 pounds.
